A clear articulation of the problem also helps founders communicate effectively with investors and customers, building trust and credibility.

  • 💡 The Need or Desire: What unmet need or desire exists?
  • 📉 The Pain or Gain: What pain point or opportunity are you addressing?

How to Master Problem Articulation

Here are some actionable steps to improve your problem articulation:

  1. Understand Your Customer’s Context 📊
    Dive deep into your audience's experiences. What are they struggling with?
  2. Use Customer Language 🗣
    Speak in terms that resonate with your audience to build trust.
  3. Test Your Problem Statement
    Test and iterate with real customers to see if your problem definition hits the mark.
  4. Iterate and Adapt 🔄
    Keep refining your problem as your customers and the market evolve.
