What is a Startup Smart Brief?

MA Newsletter

Dear Founders, how do you promote your startup to investors?

Have you ever used a smart brief?

Smart Brief

A Smart Brief is a succinct summary designed to convey a startup's essence to potential investors quickly. It is a strategic tool to pique interest, highlight the startup's unique value proposition, and encourage further engagement.

Typically ranging from 200 to 300 words, a Smart Brief includes critical information such as the startup's unique selling proposition (USP), the problem it addresses, key insights or metrics, recent updates, fundraising details, a link to a more detailed one-pager, and a call to action.

You can use it in an email; if you shorten it, it can be a LinkedIn message. The only goal of the Smart Brief is to get a first meeting with an investor.

✨ [Startup's USP]

🎯 [Problem addressed]

📊 [Key metrics]

📢 [Recent updates]

💰 [Fundraising info / Ask]

🔗 [Link to One-Pager]

📬 [Let's meet]

I have created a Custom GPT that creates Smart Briefs, feel free to use, test it and give some feedback thanks!
